In his role of Group Financial Manager, Martin leads the finance function at Open Box, overseeing accounting, reporting and financial systems for the Group and its subsidiaries. Since joining in 2024, he’s focused on simplifying processes and building clear, real‑time dashboards that help teams make confident decisions.
After earning an Honours degree in Accounting at Stellenbosch University, Martin completed his SAICA articles at Deloitte in Johannesburg and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in December 2013. Over the past 12 years, he’s worked across oil & gas, internet security and retirement property—helping each business modernize their finance operations. From migrating teams off manual spreadsheets to new systems, to automating month‑end routines and integrating technology, he’s built self‑service reporting tools that free people up to focus on what matters.
Martin is a proud father of two daughters and loves the outdoors. An avid cyclist who’s completed an Ironman, he thrives on tackling tough challenges—whether that’s untangling a complex finance issue or pacing himself through a triathlon.
